STAIN COLOR: SALVAGE
SALVAGE Stain is a reactive wood stain and creates shades of browns & grays, with color results based on wood species. Salvage is not a pigmented stain, but instead will bring out the wood's existing natural beauty and colors. That means your end color is a result of the type of wood you're using!
SALVAGE can be applied 3 different ways.

- For a light color, apply the stain and wipe it back off.
- For a medium color, drench the wood and allow the oak to absorb the stain, turning gray/brown as it dries.
- For an even darker look, apply multiple coats of stain to achieve your perfect shade.
It is both an Interior and Exterior stain, suitable for high tannin woods, veneers, & reclaimed wood:

- EXTERIOR WATERPROOFER should be applied. Topcoat with Weatherwood Exterior Wood Sealer
- INTERIORS where someone will touch the wood need a topcoat, especially floors, cabinetry and furniture. Seal with your favorite Weatherwood Stains topcoat. [link]

ALDER
Salvage can be used on lower tannin woods to create a natural-looking barnwood effect. The brown tones of the raw wood will be visible and the inconsistent gray stained alder mimics barnwood.
OAK
Salvage can be used to create a fumed wood effect on oaks. Wood will be lightly weathered gray and brown tones.
DOUGLAS FIR- FLAT GRAIN
Douglas fir is color will be a mixture of silvery gray to warm brown, depending on the cut and grain of the wood. Some planks may be light, while others are dark, some may be gray and others brown.
