Black Bogwood creates an intense aged black while maintaining its warmth and organic variation on most wood species. Each additional coat deepens and enhances the aged character.
Application Notes
• Suitable for interior and exterior applications when properly sealed. • Compatible with hardwoods, softwoods, veneers, reclaimed wood, and most tropical species. • Final color varies by species — test prior to application.
Sealing Requirements
Part of the Weatherwood Finishing System — refine with Maintenance Oil and protect with architectural topcoats.
Interior Use
For cabinetry, millwork, and furniture, seal with Weatherwood Varnish.
For flooring and high-traffic surfaces, seal with Weatherwood Polyurethane.
Not recommended for exterior use.
Natural Variation
Because Weatherwood reacts with the natural tannins in wood, tone and depth will vary from board to board — creating authentic, organic character. For uniform results, test multiple planks prior to full application.
